AISFP 14 – Carrie Vaughn

I’m back! In this episode Carrie Vaughn talks about her novels, her short stories, and the possibilities of the dark fantasy market dropping out. The publishers are really flooding the bookstores with these things, and will oversaturation drive away customers, much like what happened to the horror genre in the 80s? Carrie is a very nice person and a talented writer, so check out her books if you haven’t already.

Hi, Shaun. Did you know that Carrie and I are in the same writing group? We go pretty far back. Thanks for chatting with her. I think you’ll continue to be reading quality Carrie Vaughn work far into the future.

  4. Shaun Farrell says

I did not know that, Jim. Very cool. I need to find a writing group blessed with such great writers!

  5. Blue Tyson says

Did she say she was maybe doing a Supergirl novel? Or did I hear that wrong.

I am definitely a long time Wild Cards fan (http://superprose.blogspot.com), so that is very interesting.

  6. Shaun Farrell says

I believe she said it was a superhero novel, but not a supergirl novel.

  7. Blue Tyson says

Ok, interesting, if she has a Wild Cards story and is doing that.

    Thanks.
