AISFP 99 – John Picacio

Artist John Picacioย joins us from Comic-Con to discuss how he approaches cover illustration, the differences between an illustrator and an artist, his favorite science fiction authors, how ebooks might negatively effect artists, and his future projects, including the 2012 Song of Ice and Fire calendar.

Show Notes:

– My thanks to those who expressed their concern about foul language on the show. I’ve decided to bleep out curse words in the future so everyone can rest assured that the show will always be kid-safe.
– Remember to read M.K. Hobson’s conclusion in her series on historical fantasy.
– Need something to read? I spend some time discussing new books. You can always visit the Books Section for plenty of great titles.

Just finished listening to episode 99. I wanted to express my appreciation for the effort to keep things clean. More often than not I listen commuting to work and I’m the only one on the car, but I have an 8 year old son and occasionally I listen to podcasts when he is around. I really appreciate not having to worry about surprises.

Love the podcast too. Glad you got some people to help so this can continue on.
